September 2016 | Press Release

BACH Development has been nominated for the Contractor's Award by Charles Molnar, AIA - Past President We would like to nominate BACH Development for the 2016 Contractor’s Award. We have had more than 4-5 years experience with the Firm. Our nomination for BACH is based on projects that we have recently completed over the past two years. Each project had unique challenges. We have attached project pages for each of the three projects. Daily Eats + Fresh Kitchen in Sarasota. Completed in early 2016, this project site was very challenging as there was little to no staging area throughout construction. The shell building was provided to us by the Site Developer, and required extensive revision to integrate each restaurant complex into the shell building. Equally challenging was designing and building two different restaurant concepts adjacent to each other at the same time.

Fresh Kitchen + Daily Eats in St. Pete. Completed in mid 2016, this project was in construction before and through-out the Sarasota project construction. The project was very challenging as the existing shell was a dilapidated Chinese restaurant that had considerable structural deficiencies. The entire shell was gutted and brought up to Code, while installing all new infrastructure for two separate restaurant brands. Considerable exterior revisions were made to the existing structure to create a drastically different exterior design.

The Katz Building – 1726 E. 7th Ave. – Historic Renovation. Completed in mid 2016, the project took an existing outdated office building and completely renovated the entire footprint. The project moved all restrooms to new areas where there was space to create updated ADA restrooms, and Collaborative spaces. Existing structural columns and bearing walls were redesigned in order to create the open spaces the design demanded. Note: The Contractor’s Award is available to a licensed general contractor that has accomplished an outstanding built result while exemplifying a genuine interest in encouraging and affecting outstanding workmanship and craftsmanship on a built project. This individual must be nominated by a chapter member, with the work having been completed under their observation.
