Office Build-Out & Renovation

This second-floor commercial office renovation, located within the Ybor City Historic District, demonstrates BACH’s expertise in adaptive reuse and historic-sensitive construction. The scope included the integration of skylight systems to maximize daylighting throughout the floor plate, reducing reliance on artificial lighting while complementing the building’s existing structural envelope.

The build-out also included a dedicated gathering space with a wet bar — requiring plumbing and electrical rough-in within an existing historic structure — designed to support business events and client-facing functions. Two interior patios were constructed as flexible co-working environments, incorporating durable furnishings suited to semi-exposed conditions.

The project’s successful balance of historic preservation, modern systems integration, and finish-level craftsmanship earned the 2016 AIA Contractor’s Honor and Design Award.
